The 2018/19 season of the premier league was arguably one of the most best seasons ever. The title race between Liverpool and Manchester City was thrilling to watch which finished on the last matchday week with the Citizens getting their hands on the Premier League trophy for the 5th time. The race for top 4 between Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United was also entertaining to watch. But let us see what the ‘Big Six’ could to in the next season.
1. Manchester City
After winning the domestic treble under Pep Guardiola, it looks like in the next season, the Champions league is going to be manchester city’s biggest priority. So, they make take premier league a little less seriously. However, with the tallent that they have, the Citizens could also become the first team to win the quadruple. Manchester City are expected to sign 2-3 new players in the transfer marke.
The performance of Liverpool Football Club in the 2018/19 season was their best one in any Premier league season. The reds ended the season with 97 points and they lost just one game but that wasn’t enough to win the Premier League. The reds will surely do their absolutely best to win the Premier League in the next season under Jürgen Klopp and surely they will be one of the favourites to win it next season. Liverpool are expected to buy 2 to 4 new players in the supper
3. Tottenham Hotspurs
Spurs had a very strange 2018/19 season. It was nothing less than a roller coaster ride for the north londoners. With Mauricio Pochettino still on board, Tottenham are believed to improve. There is no doubt that Mauricio Pochettino will want to win a trophy with Tottenham hotspurs in the next season and if spurs can keep their top players in the team and buy a few good players in the summber, then we may see Tottenham Hotspurs finally winning a trophy under Mauricio Pochettino.
Arsenal had a chance to finish in the top 4, but they failed to do so, then they had a chance to qualify for the champions league by winning the Europa League, but they couldn’t do it. Unai Emery’s first season at Arsenal turns out to be very dissapointing for the fans. However, if Unai Emery gets 2 to 4 new players in the tranfer window, he could help Arsenal win a trophy in the next season.
Things are not looking great for Chelsea in the next season at all. Sarri has gone to Juventus and Hazard to Real Madrid. Chelsea cannot make any signings this summer because of the tranfer ban. So, clearly, next season is gonna be tough for the blues. However, with right man in the manager’s role, the blues can also perform well even without Eden Hazard.
6. Manchester United
Manchester United’s 2018/19 season was a nighmare. With Ole Gunnar Solskjær at the wheel, the red devils were back on track in the beggining, they were on the winning streak in the Premier League, they defeated Arsenal at the Emirates and Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge and even defeted PSG 3-1, but it all fell apart after that. United failed to challenge for any trophy. Manchester United are expected to make 4 to 7 new signings this summer. If Manchested United buys some big names in the summer, they could become a major threat for the other clubs, however it is gonna be hard for them to sign some big names without the champions league football.
